Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a ‘final’ move for Pedro Porro with Real Madrid waiting in the wings to make a move for the Sporting ace.

That’s according to Spanish newspaper AS, who claim that Tottenham are planning to make ‘one last try’ for Porro in the ‘next few hours’.

Their efforts to sign the Spanish wing back have been snubbed so far with Sporting sticking to his €45million (£40million) release clause.

Sporting are adamant that Porro will not be leaving unless that clause is met and Tottenham will seemingly make just one more attempt.

The report adds that Antonio Conte was impressed by Porro during the Champions League group stage as Tottenham twice faced Sporting.

Conte asked Tottenham to sign Porro according to this report and looks like they will launch a move in the final stages of the transfer window.

Tottenham risk missing out on Pedro Porro

The report adds that Real Madrid are watching Porro’s situation very closely.

It’s stated that Real are planning to move for Porro in the summer, seemingly hoping that he remains in Portugal beyond the January deadline.

Dani Carvajal is now into his 30’s and Real are seemingly looking for a right back to take over from such a club legend.

Porro fits the bill for Real and they are seemingly waiting in the wings should Tottenham fail to bring him to North London.

Porro, 23, has been outstanding going forward this season and has bagged three goals as well as 11 assists in 24 games.

The former Manchester City talent is exactly what Tottenham need and this move is now reaching a breaking point.

Spurs may have just over a week to get a deal done, or risk losing Porro to Real at the end of the season – which would be a nightmare for Tottenham and Conte as they seek a top-quality wing back.
