Tottenham Hotspur now have confidence that their South American players will be available to play against Newcastle United this weekend.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that there is renewed optimism about the participation of their four South American players.
Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso have both been away with Argentina. Davinson Sanchez has played for Colombia, with Emerson Royal representing Brazil.
Due to travel and quarantine regulations, there were fears that all four players wouldn’t be able to face Newcastle.
After all, all four players are expected to feature for their South American countries on Thursday night or early Friday morning.
That’s just over 48 hours away from Tottenham’s game against Newcastle.
However, Tottenham are confident that all four South American players will fly on private jets straight to London.

They will then be able to stay over at Hotspur Way before featuring against Newcastle on Sunday.
That would be a major boost for Nuno Espirito Santo, who would no doubt love to have all four South American players in his squad.
Whether they start or not remains to be seen, especially with such a heavy workload in the international break, but it’s great news all the same for Tottenham.
