Tottenham Hotspur players are preparing a popstar-like welcome alongside Son Heung-min when they travel to South Korea this summer.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Tottenham players have been speaking to Son about the trip to the Far East.
Tottenham will travel to South Korea this summer to take on the K League All-Stars as well as Mallorca, who have a Korean star themselves in Lee Kang-in.
Tottenham players are allegedly joking that they will now discover what it’s like to be pop stars when they travel with Son.
A ‘God-like’ reception is expected for Son, with South Korean fans no doubt set to go wild for their biggest-ever football export.
Whether or not you like BTS, you’ve probably heard of them by now with the K-pop group achieving enormous status not just in South Korea but worldwide.
That’s the kind of reception Tottenham players are now expecting when they head to South Korea this summer.
South Korean fans regularly come to Tottenham home games just for a glimpse of Son, so you can only imagine that things will be like when Son returns there with Tottenham.

Son isn’t the first South Korean to play for Tottenham – that honour goes to Lee Young-pyo, who played a key role in his county’s success at the 2002 World Cup.
That tournament really sparked major interest in football over in South Korea, with Lee flying the flag for South Korea in the Premier League.
Before Lee and Park Ji-sung arrived in 2005, there had never been a South Korean Premier League player. Now there have been 14, with Son surely surpassing Park as the biggest name.
