Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on Newcastle United stopper Martin Dubravka for £12 million.

Martin Dubravka could be Tottenham Hotspur’s most bizarre signing of the summer so far, if they push for the Newcastle United goalkeeper.
With Tottenham looking at strengthening this summer, to spend a chunk of their budget on a new goalkeeper would not be a wise move.
Spurs already have Hugo Lloris as their number one stopper, and Mauricio Pochettino is a major fan of the Frenchman.
Lloris may not have enjoyed his greatest season last year, but he is a valuable member of Tottenham’s first-team and Dubravka doesn’t offer the experience of the Spurs captain.
Tottenham also have Paulo Gazzaniga in reserve, and the former Southampton man is one of the finest back-up stoppers in the Premier League.
Gazzaniga has actually pushed to take Lloris’s spot in Tottenham’s starting line-up before, and he has proven that he is a hugely reliable figure.

There is also the fee involved in the potential transfer, which the Mail claim would be £12 million.
With Tottenham always looking at signing players with re-sale value, committing to spend £12 million on a goalkeeper who is now 30 would be completely out of character.
Spurs simply do not need Dubravka and it would be utterly bizarre if they did bring in the Newcastle man.
