According to the Irish Independent Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Matt Doherty.

Spurs have been monitoring the right-back, as they feel he could make a bright addition to their squad.

But his arrival at Tottenham would surely cause a departure, if it was to happen.

Spurs already have Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters competing for the right-back berth in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.

Trippier is currently Tottenham’s first choice right-back, but there has been suggestions he could be upgraded.

Aurier, meanwhile, has been erratic defensively since joining Tottenham, while Walker-Peters is still fighting to make the grade with Pochettino’s men.

And if Spurs do decide to make a move for Doherty then Pochettino would surely have to think about offloading at least one of the aforementioned trio.
