Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in signing West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans, just months after Arsenal were interested.

If Tottenham Hotspur do manage to sign Jonny Evans in the summer, it could leave Arsenal sweating.
And if Evans is a success at Spurs, it is sure to cause further frustration in the Arsenal ranks.

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Northern Irish international in the January transfer window in the Daily Mail, but decided against going through with the deal.
If Tottenham now go on to secure the centre-back, and he catches the eye, it has the potential to be a transfer which really frustrates Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has come in for criticism for neglecting his defence, and if Arsenal miss out on another player who could have improved them, it will provide the Emirates Stadium crowd with more ammunition to throw at the French manager.
Spurs, meanwhile, will be hoping that Evans proves to be a success, if they sign him, for different reasons.
Tottenham may need defensive additions in the summer, as it appears that Toby Alderweireld could be set to leave.
