Tottenham Hotspur should rival Everton in the race to sign Justin Kluivert this summer.
Everton are considered to be among the front runners for the talented 19-year-old this summer.
But Spurs simply cannot allow the transfer to go ahead, without offering them some competition.
Kluivert is one of the most talented teenagers in world football, with the attacker’s form at Ajax this term catching the eye.
With Spurs not having the funds to compete for current superstars, they need to find the stars of tomorrow, and Kluivert certainly fits that bill.
And if Everton are queueing up for his signature, then Spurs need to be ruthless, and move ahead of Sam Allardyce’s side in the race.
Tottenham simply have greater pulling power than Everton at this moment in time, due to their success in recent years.
While Everton have languished in mid-table this term, Tottenham have turned themselves into genuine Premier League title contenders and look set to consolidate their position in the top four this year.
Spurs should have no problems knocking Everton out of the way in the race to sign Kluivert.
And there is no way that Spurs should simply watch on and allow the Toffees to snap the forward up, if he is open to a move to England this summer.
