Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng would be the perfect replacement for linked-away Toby Alderweireld at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur were linked with Jerome Boateng in the summer of 2017, and the North London outfit should reignite their interest in the Bayern Munich star, especially if Toby Alderweireld leaves for Manchester United.
According to The Mirror, United are interested in signing central defender Alderweireld from Premier League rivals Tottenham and talks are going on.
If the Belgium international does leave for the Red Devils, then Spurs would be wise to make a move for Bayern star Boateng.

The 29-year-old recently suggested to Sky Germany that he would be tempted to leave the German giants for the right offer, and this should invite Spurs to make a move.
Back in May 2017, TMW claimed of Tottenham’s interest in the former Manchester City centre-back.
The 29-year-old has progressed and matured brilliant since his disappointing spell at City in 2010-11, and he has established himself as one of the best and most reliable centre-backs in Europe.

Boateng has played a key role in Bayern winning the Bundesliga title for the past six seasons and the Champions League in 2013, and he also won the World Cup with Germany in 2014.
A serial winner with vast experience of playing in the Champions League, the former Hamburg defender would be a suitable replacement for Alderweireld at Spurs.
