Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing David Brooks from Sheffield United, according to The Sun (print edition, November 3, 2017) (click here to read more).
Spurs reportedly watched Brooks in action for United against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in the Championship last month.
The midfielder is only 20 years of age and has made just a handful of appearances for the United first team, but the youngster is hugely promising and has a lot of potential.
According to The Star, Brooks is valued in the £10 million bracket, and it would make sense for Spurs to sign the Championship sensation next summer, if not in the January transfer window.

The youngster signed a new four-year contract with United only last month, but it would be hard for the Blades to look the other way if Spurs made an offer of £10m in January or next summer.
Spurs could do what they did with Dele Alli and Milton Keynes Dons in February 2, 2015 – sign Brooks in January and then let him stay on loan at United for the rest of the season.
True, the Wales international has yet to show that he can be a success in the Premier League, but the way he has handled himself in the United first team in the Championship suggests that he has the quality, temperament and hunger to make it in the top flight of English football.

The following comments from United manager Chris Wilder further justify Spurs’ reported interest in Brooks.
“He has got a bit of the wow factor,” Wilder told The Star. “He gets supporters excited, gets at players and drives the game forward. He’s a talented footballer, that does things a little differently to a lot of other players.
“He has that ability, and we are certainly not going to coach that out of him. There are certain parts of his game he still needs to improve but, there’s no point in denying it, he’s a special player.”
