Tottenham Hotspur have already had great success with buying an English youngster from abroad in the shape of Eric Dier, and they should try and repeat the trick with Jack Harrison.

Harrison was a promising youth prospect at Manchester United, but it wasn’t until he moved to New York City that he has really started to make a name for himself.

The English midfielder has been a star in MLS, and now plays a key role for New York City.

Harrison’s stock has just risen, as he has been called up to the England under-21 side over the current international break.

And Spurs should take note of the midfielder’s rise, and make a bid in the January transfer window.

Tottenham have been the best club in the country and developing youth prospects in recent times, and they could benefit from having yet another one of England’s top talents in their squad.

Harrison appears to have a very bright future, and under Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance he could develop into a real star for club and country.

Spurs have seen first-hand the benefits that having a footballing schooling abroad can bring, with Dier signing from Sporting Lisbon before becoming a first-team regular, and if they could repeat that trick with Harrison then he could be a brilliant signing for the North London club.
