Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino worked with Arsenal’s Calum Chambers at Southampton.
Arsenal are willing to allow Chambers to leave this summer, but they have struggled to find a buyer to meet their asking price.
The Gunners are desperate to offload some of their squad players, as Arsene Wenger wants to make room for some new arrivals.

And Tottenham should see whether their arch rivals are so determined to offload players that they would sell Chambers to them.
Chambers could be an ideal option for Spurs at this moment in time.
Not only is he young and English, meaning he would fit in well with the Tottenham squad, but he would also help them fill a void in their squad.
Chambers could play at right wing-back, while Kieran Trippier is out, and he also has the ability to play in centre of defence.
While Chambers is unlikely to be a regular starter at Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino has previously got the best out of the England youth international – when working with him at Southampton.
And with Tottenham’s first Premier League game coming at the weekend, they should test the water, to see if Arsenal would be willing to sanction a move for the young defender.
