The Venezuelan could be the perfect striker for Mauricio Pochettino.

West Bromwich Albion defeated Leicester City in the Premier League. The Baggies won 2-1 after goals from James Morrison and Matty Phillips.

But it was yet again a fantastic performance from West Brom’s Venezuelan striker Salamon Rondon that caught the eye.

His performances surely caught the eye and Tottenham Hotspur fans will be wondering if he is the man they should have signed in the summer.

Spurs snapped up Vincent Janssen in the summer from AZ Alkmaar to help Harry Kane in striking duties. However, the Dutch striker has struggled to find his best form since arriving at Spurs and is yet to score from open play for the club.

Rondon has shown time and time again that he will work tirelessly up front and when given the opportunity, he rarely misses a chance to put the ball in the back of the net.

Although not potently prolific he is the sort of striker that would thrive under Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs could certainly do with bringing in another striker. The recent injury to Harry Kane highlighted that Tottenham probably should have brought in more than just Janssen in the summer.

Rondon might just be the perfect option to add depth and diversity to their attacking options.
