West Ham United prospect Declan Rice could be available on a cheap deal, and Tottenham Hotspur should be looking to sign him.

According to the Daily Mail, top Premier League sides are interested in signing West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Tottenham Hotspur should be one of the potential buyers.

Rice’s future at West Ham is now insecure, with the youngster having just months remaining on his contract.

West Ham are currently struggling to agree a new deal with Rice, as they don’t want to pay the 19-year-old the money he is hoping for.

And Spurs should now look to capitalise on the situation by making their interest in the youngster clear.

Tottenham have been the best developers of young talent in the Premier League in recent years.

Spurs have helped a great deal of prospects progress their careers, and Rice could be an ideal fit at Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Rice can cover in both defence and midfield, and has similarities in his game to Eric Dier.

If Tottenham could land him on a cheap deal then he could turn out to be a real bargain.

And Spurs would be wise to make sure they are the front of the queue for Rice, if West Ham continue to fail to tie down the youngster, as signing him is too good an opportunity to turn down.
