Tottenham Hotspur should move for the Southampton striker this summer.
According to Sky Sports’ live transfer feed, Southampton must offload a forward option in order to make way for Atletico Madrid hitman Luciano Vietto.
This means that Shane Long, Charlie Austin or Manolo Gabbiadini could leave the club this summer.
With that in mind, should Tottenham Hotspur go after Austin?

The Sun reported last month that Tottenham were willing to let Vincent Janssen leave this summer, after the Dutchman scored twice from open play in 38 games last season following a £17 million switch from AZ Alkmaar 13 months ago.
Spurs’ need for another striker is not critical, by virtue of the fact that Harry Kane scored 29 Premier League goals last term to scoop the Golden Boot for the second season in succession, but a stronger alternative is important and Austin might just fit the bill.
The 28-year-old hitman has seven goals in 12 Premier League starts for Southampton, whom he joined from QPR 18 months ago. Prior to that, he netted 18 times for the Londoners during their last top-flight stint in 2014-15 and such a goalscorer could come in very handy for Mauricio Pochettino next season.
He is contracted to the Saints for another three years, but a tempting offer from Lilywhites chairman Daniel Levy would give the South-Coast outfit something to think about.
