Tottenham Hotspur defender has forgotten the basics of defending.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier was at fault for two early goals against Manchester City last night.
The England international right-back’s errors came as no surprise. This season he has been consistently poor, and error prone.
No longer does he seem like a player who Tottenham can rely on. Not at right-back at least.
Perhaps instead of simply ditching Trippier and discarding him, Tottenham should look to convert him into a winger.
Trippier’s greatest strength is his crossing, and he has a superb understanding with striker Harry Kane.

Tottenham are not blessed with good crosses of the ball, and even as an option off the bench, Trippier can be of use.
Giving him license to play in an attacking position could lift his confidence too.
Of course if Spurs want to sell Trippier after his poor season, they are entitled to, and they will get a decent fee for him.
Mauricio Pochettino can be ruthless at times, but he is also a coach, and may wish to show his credentials by re-training the England international in a new role.
Would you keep Trippier, sell him, or play him on the wing?
