Tottenham Hotspur have a good track record at bringing through young talent since Mauricio Pochettino took charge.

Tottenham Hotspur should activate Real Betis’ youngster Dani Ceballos’ £13 million release clause to kick-start their summer spending.

Tottenham are yet to make an addition in the transfer window, with Daniel Levy appearing to be in the market for bargains once again.

Spurs have baulked at a number of players’ asking prices, with Mauricio Pochettino seemingly having to shop on a budget.

It means that Tottenham’s options are limited, but Ceballos could be an outstanding signing – and fit in the Lilywhites’ price bracket.

Ceballos has a clause in his contract which means he is available for just over £13 million, as ESPN have reported, which makes him a cheap addition in today’s inflated market.

The 20-year-old may still be a developing talent, but his stand out performances at the under-21 European Championships for Spain have proven his quality.

And Tottenham should give Ceballos the platform to burst on to the big stage.

The midfielder made 30 appearances for Betis last season, and looks to be one of the most talented prospects in Spain.

And if Spurs could add him to their squad, the North London club’s supporters would have yet another brilliant youngster to be excited about for the years ahead.
