Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly open to selling Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele and that would have to be considered a major risk for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to take.

The quartet are all believed to be up for sale this summer, as Spurs look to raise funds.

While Tottenham could hope to bring in £170 million, the loss of the core of their team could be difficult to replace.

Rose, Alderweireld and Wanyama may not have played particularly frequently this season, but there is little doubting their quality.

And with Spurs still refusing to pay the wages of some of their Premier League rivals, it will be a majorly challenging task to bring in players of a similar quality.

Alderweireld is arguably the finest defender in the Premier League, while Rose, when fit, is one of England’s best left-backs.

The partnership of Wanyama and Dembele has proven successful for Spurs in the past too, and to offload them both in the same window would be a controversial move.

If Spurs do sell the quartet then their squad will need some serious renovation work done to it.

And it seems that Pochettino and Daniel Levy are taking a major gamble, just as Spurs are starting to consolidate themselves as a genuine Premier League title contender.
