Tottenham Hotspur are in Premier League action today and Antonio Conte has decided to have a look at Romaine Mundle ahead of facing West Ham United.

It’s a quiet weekend for Premier League football, with some clubs instead playing FA Cup games and some not playing at all.

For Tottenham, it’s a big London derby and a huge game in the race for Champions League qualification.

West Ham head to North London in a massive encounter having beaten Sevilla 2-0 on Thursday night, advancing in the Europa League.

Arsenal’s win on Saturday complicates matters for both teams, with nothing more than a win good enough now.

Antonio Conte will be desperate for a win and likely won’t change too much of his starting XI, but you never know if there will be changes on the bench.

Youngsters like Harvey White and Dane Scarlett both feature on the bench regularly, with Romaine Mundle possibly pushing himself into contention too.

Photos from Tottenham’s Friday training session have emerged and Mundle can be seen in a number of snaps.

Mundle, 18, has played 14 times in Premier League 2 this season and appears to have been impressing coaches at Tottenham.

Capable of playing as a number 10 or on either flank, Mundle was actually on the Tottenham bench against Pacos de Ferreira back in August.

Super Hotspur have offered a great profile on Mundle, branding him ‘really skilful’ whilst praising his creative ability too.

Mundle’s current deal actually expires this summer and this step of training with the first team may give hope of a new contract.

It’s a long shot for Mundle to be included in today’s squad, but you can never say never.

At least being called into first-team training gives Mundle another glimpse of life in the first-team setup, and he can aim for a great senior career just like Harry Kane in the future.
