Tottenham Hotspur want Davide Frattesi but the Sassuolo star has decided that he wants to play for Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Fabio Paratici always has his eyes on the Italian transfer market in search of additions to the Tottenham side.
The likes of Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski have all arrived from Italian clubs under Paratici.
You can be sure that other Serie A players are on the Tottenham radar but one target could be out of reach.

Tottenham target Davide Frattesi wants Roma move
Tuttomercatoweb report that a number of clubs are queueing up to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.
It’s stated that Napoli, Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are all chasing Frattesi’s signature.
However, Frattesi has already made his mind up – Roma is the club he wants to sign for moving forward.
Frattesi, 23, was born in Rome and came through the youth ranks at Roma.
Frattesi ended up joining Sassuolo and after loan spells at Ascoli, Empoli and Monza, he has now become a star.
A true box-to-box midfielder who is just as likely to be dictating play from deep as he is to be arriving into the box to score, Frattesi has already scored four goals in 15 league games this season.
An Italian international with four caps to his name, Frattesi appears to have a huge future ahead of him and it’s no surprise that Tottenham and Paratici are interested.
Frattesi – hailed as ‘super talented’ by Fabrizio Romano – has such a strong emotional pull to Roma and the city of Rome that he seemingly has no other club in his mind.
That would mean Tottenham missing out on a huge talent to Jose Mourinho, which would certainly be a kick in the teeth.
Paratici may hope to change Frattesi’s mind but this will be a tough ask for Tottenham with the midfielder so set on his next club.
