Richarlison is in the Brazil squad and EA Sports have run a simulation in which the Tottenham striker is named in the World Cup Team of the Tournament.

The World Cup is drawing ever closer and Tottenham fans will soon turn their attention away from the Premier League.

Tottenham do have two fixtures before the break though; tonight in the Carabao Cup against Nottingham Forest and then this weekend against Leeds United in the Premier League.

It will all be about the World Cup after those games though and a host of Tottenham players will be in action over in Qatar.

Richarlison is in the Brazil squad

Hugo Lloris, Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ivan Perisic, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are all set to feature.

Then there is Richarlison, who has been named in the Brazil squad.

Richarlison picked up a calf injury against Everton last month but is now back in Tottenham training and will be ready to go for Brazil.

Despite Gabriel Jesus also being in the Brazil squad, Richarlison is set to head into the World Cup as Brazil’s top striker.

EA Sports are about to release their World Cup add-on for FIFA 23 and they have of course decided to run a simulation of the entire World Cup.

EA shared the results of their simulation on Tuesday night, showing Argentina as the winners in the final over Brazil whilst France and Portugal were beaten in the semi-finals.

Richarlison fared very well in this simulation, bagging five goals in seven games; only Lionesl Messi, Memphis Depay and Kylian Mbappe scored more.

Richarlison was also named in the World Cup Team of the Tournament in this simulation, partnering Mbappe up top.

Not many will be backing Richarlison to outscore Harry Kane at the World Cup but if EA Sports are right, the Brazilian is set for an enormous World Cup campaign.
