According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Tottenham have expressed interest in the 23-year-old winger.

The report has claimed that Spurs are willing to pay cash and also include Danny Rose and Juan Foyth in the transfer.

England international left-back Rose is actually on loan at Newcastle at the moment.

The report in The Daily Mail has also claimed of interest in Saint-Maximin from Paris Saint-Germain.

No Newcastle United sale?

Tottenham may be interested in the winger, but Newcastle manager Steve Bruce does not want to sell him in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to The Chronicle this week, the former Aston Villa and Hull City boss raved about the former France Under-21 international.

Bruce told The Chronicle about Saint-Maximin: “He’s certainly different and blessed with a natural ability most people haven’t got. He’s already a fans’ favourite.”

The Newcastle boss added: “We can’t help that at Newcastle. Even with a result we’ve got, there’s still a negative story. He signed a six-year deal in the summer.”

Saint-Maximin has been one of the best players for the Magpies this season, and one can understand why Bruce does not want to sell him this summer.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old winger has scored three goals and provided four assists in 21 Premier League matches for Newcastle so far this season.
