Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze.

Mario Gotze is a player in demand, with Everton, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Arsenal among the clubs reportedly interested in the Borussia Dortmund star.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham, Leicester City and Newcastle all are interested in signing Gotze from Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who won the 2014 World Cup finals with Germany, will reportedly cost around £18 million.

Football.London has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Gotze, too. It has been reported that Spurs are keeping tabs on the former Bayern Munich star.

Competition

Gotze’s career has become stagnant since his move to Bayern, and there are also issues regarding his fitness.

However, there is no doubt that the Dortmund attacking midfielder is hugely talented, and given that he is still only 26 years of age, he has not hit his peak yet.

Signing Gotze for £18m would not be a bad idea for Tottenham, although competition for the services of the Dortmund star appears to be fierce.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp worked with Gotze at Dortmund, and the German coach was quoted as saying by The Liverpool Echo back in March 2016 that the attacking midfielder has “extraordinary abilities”.
