Spurs trio Mauricio Pochettino, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are up for December’s Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t had a bad December overall, beating Arsenal in the Carabao Cup and getting a draw away at Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Premier League was more of a mixed bag, however, with some solid wins against the likes of Everton, Bournemouth and Cardiff, but losses to the Gunners and Wolves.
That said, Spurs’ efforts in the final month of 2018 have been recognised by the Premier League, with two players and the manager up for the monthly awards as reported by Sky Sports News.
The seven-man shortlist for Player of the Month features forward Son Heung-min, who registered six goals and three assists in December to help sustain Tottenham’s title challenge.
In addition, talismanic striker Harry Kane is also in the running, having recorded six goals and notched up two assists in the club’s five wins from seven.
The Spurs duo are up against Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, and West Ham’s Felipe Anderson.

To make it a nomination hat-trick, Mauricio Pochettino will take on Jurgen Klopp, Maurizio Sarri, Manuel Pellegrini and Nuno Espirito Santo for the Manager of the Month award.
Here is how some of the Lilywhites faithful reacted to the trio’s award nominations, on the same day that Fernando Llorente bagged a hat-trick in the 7-0 win over Tranmere in the FA Cup:
