Tottenham Hotspur may want to sign Randal Kolo Muani and some may have spotted a clash between him and Cristian Romero on Sunday.

Argentina faced France in Sunday’s World Cup final and just about managed to come out on top after a truly bonkers game.

With Argentina 2-0 up and cruising, Didier Deschamps decided to gamble early and make two substitutions before half time with Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele hooked.

On came Tottenham target Kolo Muani and whilst it took a while, he ended up making a big impact with a superb performance.

Kolo Muani was a constant threat and whilst Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick grabbed headlines, Kolo Muani deserves huge respect.

It wasn’t to be for Mbappe and Kolo Muani though, as whilst both scored in the penalty shootout, Argentina ran out winners and gave Lionel Messi his dream win.

Kolo Muani has turned a few heads now though; first scoring against Morocco in the semi-finals and then shining against Argentina.

A bright future awaits for Kolo Muani and Tottenham will hope that future is with them, as Foot Mercato claim that Tottenham want to sign the French attacker from Frankfurt.

Tottenham ace Romero clashes with target Kolo Muani

We know Romero likes to play on the edge and we saw that during the World Cup final.

One moment during the World Cup final saw Kolo Muani go up for a header and seemingly appeal either for a corner kick or penalty, with France 2-0 down and desperate at that point.

BBC footage (2 hours 40 minutes) captured Romero going straight over to Kolo Muani, getting in his face with the usual aggression and needle we expect from the defender.

In this very game, Romero gave Hugo Lloris – his own Tottenham teammate – an elbow to the ribs in the early stages of the game.

Romero is somebody who loves to win and will upset anybody to make it happen, even if they’re current or potential teammates.

Look at his battles with Richarlison last season; the pair seemed to be at each other constantly when Tottenham and Everton met, yet the pair now love each other at Spurs.

Kolo Muani may end up going down a similar path, and he would probably rather have Romero as a teammate than an opponent.
