Tottenham Hotspur return to action this evening, travelling to Hungary to take on Wolfsberger in the Europa League.
Spurs take on the Austrian side at a neutral venue due to the global pandemic, with Jose Mourinho seeking a first leg lead.
Mourinho’s men have been in poor form of late though, and need to guard against a shock defeat on Thursday night.
Having gone through a rigorous schedule of late, Mourinho may consider changes to his side this evening – and with that in mind, here is our predicted lineup…
Hugo Lloris has come in for real criticism of late, but we’re backing him to keep his place ahead of Joe Hart; a sign of faith in him could be great for his confidence.
Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies have taken on big workloads of late, so Mourinho may consider leaving them out; Japhet Tanganga at left back and Toby Alderwiereld partnering Eric Dier in the centre makes some sense.
Matt Doherty could get the nod at right back, whilst it may be time for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to be given a rest, going with Harry Winks alongside Moussa Sissoko in midfield.
Tanguy Ndombele falls into the same bracket as Hojbejrg, Davies and Sanchez in needing a rest, so this could be a fine chance for Dele Alli to step into the side.
Gareth Bale needs minutes on the right flank, whilst Son Heung-min is in need of a rest on the left, meaning Steven Bergwin could slot into the team.
Harry Kane needs to be managed carefully after his return from injury, so Carlos Vinicius should be given a start in attack.
That would leave the likes of Hart, Sanchez, Davies, Serge Aurier, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Son and Kane on the bench, whilst youngsters Dane Scarlett, Marcel Lavinier, Jamie Bowden and Dennis Cirkin have also made the trip so could be involved on the bench.
