Tottenham Hotspur are back in action today as they take on Leicester City as they look to bounce back from defeat to Liverpool.

Spurs lost 2-1 at Anfield on Wednesday night, and now need to get back on track against Brendan Rodgers’ patchy Leicester side.

Jose Mourinho will be desperate to bounce back, and may have changes in mind for today’s game against the Foxes.

With that in mind, here is our predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI for this afternoon’s game against Leicester…

Barring any late injury or pandemic-related issue, Hugo Lloris should be in goal for Tottenham ahead of Joe Hart.

Serge Aurier is likely to keep his place at right back given his fine form, with Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier continuing at centre back.

Ben Davies started at Liverpool, but we’re backing Sergio Reguilon to come back into the Tottenham side for today’s game.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is Mourinho’s midfield lieutenant and will almost certainly start in midfield with Moussa Sissoko, whilst £55m ace Tanguy Ndombele should return in midfield.

Son Heung-min will feature on the left with Harry Kane up top, whilst Steven Bergwijn deserves a chance to make up for two big missed chances against Liverpool with a start on the right.

An expanded bench means Hart, Davies, Matt Doherty, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius are in contention for substitute roles, though Joe Rodon could also come into the thinking.

Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI today: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Sissoko; Bergwijn, Ndombele, Son; Kane.
