Tottenham Hotspur earned an excellent point away to Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Social media is awash with praise for Mauricio Pochettino’s side following their performance and although it wasn’t a victory, it was a fine display from Spurs.

It was arguably a rare test for Tottenham, who have yet to face Liverpool, Arsenal and both Manchester clubs in the Premier League, but a test which they passed with flying colours nonetheless and Pochettino will hope his side carry the same performance into Wembley on Sunday when Liverpool visit the capital.

If there was any doubt over whether Spurs are getting better under the Argentine then this performance put such doubt to bed and the Lilywhites’ Premier League rivals will have taken note of such a fine display.
