Tottenham Hotspur are planning to make a deadline-day move for Newcastle United transfer target Yves Bissouma, according to The Mirror.
The report has claimed that Tottenham are considering a late bid for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Bissouma before the January transfer window closes on Monday night.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are also interested in the Mali international, as stated in the report.
Tottenham reportedly believe that Brighton will sell Bissouma, described as “sensational” by Arsenal legend Ian Wright on Wrighty’s House Podcast in August 2021.
Yves Bissouma would be brilliant for Tottenham
In our view, Bissouma would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham and would pick Antonio Conte’s side before Newcastle.
After all, the Magpies are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Even if Newcastle survive the dreaded drop, they are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League top four or for any major trophies anytime soon.
Tottenham could finish in the Premier League top four, and under Conte, could go on to challenge for the title.
Bissouma is a very dynamic footballer who can hold his own in the middle of the park, prospect the back-line, and also drive the team forward.
The Brighton no. 8 has scored two goals and created three big chances in 100 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
