Tottenham Hotspur are looking for €40 million (£33.32m) as transfer fee for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg amid interest from AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (print editon, page 21, March 25, 2022).
The report in the Italian publication has claimed that former Tottenham head coach Mourinho wants to sign Hojbjerg for his current club Roma from Spurs in the summer transfer window.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Denmark international midfielder was Jose Mourinho’s first signing at Tottenham and cost £15 million in transfer fees.
The 26-year-old reportedly enjoyed working under Mourinho at Tottenham.
Could Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leave Tottenham for Roma?
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Tottenham will sell Hojbjerg to Roma, unless, of course, they find a suitable replacement.
The 26-year-old has been a regular at Spurs under head coach Antonio Conte.

The Denmark international is one of the first names on the Tottenham teamsheet when he is fit and available.
Hojbjerg has made 27 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this season.
The Tottenham no. 5 has scored two goals and provided two assists in those games.
Spurs will surely not sell such an important player without having a replacement lined up.
