Tottenham Hotspur target Pedro Porro has sent a valiant message to Sporting fans after losing to Maritimo on Sunday night.
Sporting continued their disappointing season by losing 1-0 away at Maritimo.
Claudio Winck’s penalty was enough to give Maritimo a big win and consign Tottenham target Porro to defeat.
Sporting have now lost five of their 15 league games this season and sit 12 points behind league leaders Benfica.
This has been a difficult season for Ruben Amorim and co, with Tottenham now hoping to make it worse by signing Porro.

Tottenham target Porro doesn’t sound on the verge of leaving
Sporting right wing back Pedro Porro appears to have become one of Tottenham’s top targets for this month.
Reports from the Daily Star last weekend suggested that Spurs were closing in on the signing of Porro.
However, Sky Sports then claimed that Tottenham had ‘cooled’ their interest in signing Porro due to Sporting’s hefty demands.
Sporting don’t want to sell for anything less than Porro’s £40million release clause and Tottenham aren’t keen on that idea.
Still, Portuguese newspaper Record claim that Spurs are willing to nearly treble Porro’s wages if he makes the move to North London.
That must be appealing to the 23-year-old, who was on the books at Manchester City but was never given a Premier League chance.
Porro isn’t letting this potential move distract him though.
In light of Sunday’s defeat, Porro has taken to Twitter to suggest that Sporting must keep their collective ‘head up’ whilst issuing a rallying cry, suggesting there is an ‘obligation to give more and win again’.
That’s a passionate message and one that Sporting fans will absolutely love.
Yet with Tottenham pushing for his signature, there is a real chance that Spaniard Porro ends up leaving Lisbon for North London this month.
