Tottenham Hotspur wing back Pedro Porro has sent a message to supporters following Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Nottingham Forest.

Spurs really needed a positive result against Forest after being dumped out of the Champions League by AC Milan in midweek.

This proved to be a great day for Tottenham as they swept Forest aside.

Porro set up the opener, crossing for Harry Kane to plant a header into the net.

Kane made it two from the penalty spot as Richarlison was brought down by Joe Worrall before Son Heung-min added number three from a Richarlison cross.

Worrall did pull one back for Forest and Spurs were given a late scare when the visitors won a penalty, only for Fraser Forster to save Andre Ayew’s effort.

That win was absolutely vital, not just because of a testing week in North London but also because Liverpool – Tottenham’s top four rivals – lost to Bournemouth earlier on Saturday.

This was an encouraging performance for right wing back Porro too.

The Spaniard had a tough first league start for Spurs in the thrashing at Leicester City but seems to be settling down now.

Porro picked out Kane with a nice cross for the first goal on Saturday and his all-round display was encouraging.

Porro recorded three key passes, one interception, one clearance and two successful dribbles in a promising performance.

This comes after Porro looked like a real threat against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, so he appears to be gathering momentum.

Porro loves to post a message after a game; last week he simply stated ‘never give up’ after the defeat at Wolves.

This week is much more positive as Porro posted ‘big win today’ on Twitter alongside a photo of his celebration with Son.

That connection with a Spurs star already bodes well for Porro and Spurs will be hoping for more big wins with Porro in the team moving forward.
