Oliver Glasner has rejected a new contract with Eintracht Frankfurt amid claims he has been approached by Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who claim that Frankfurt have made a first written offer to Glasner.
However, the Austrian has said no and doesn’t want to rush into signing a new deal with the Bundesliga club.
Glasner’s current deal runs until 2024 and whilst more talks will follow, this will leave Frankfurt worried about losing their manager.
The hope is that Glasner will still sign a one or two-year deal to stay in Germany but Tottenham are lurking.
Oliver Glasner has already received Tottenham approach
German newspaper Bild reported on Monday that Tottenham have made contact with Glasner’s agents over a move to North London.
Chelsea are also thought to be keen but Tottenham have made the first move for Glasner.
Interest in the 48-year-old is only natural after he guided Frankfurt to a Europa League final win last season.
Tottenham could be in the market for a new manager very soon with Antonio Conte set to go.
The Italian appears to have burned his bridges at Spurs and could be gone during the international break.
Daniel Levy and co will want potential replacements in mind and Glasner appears to be near the top of the list.

What kind of coach is Glasner?
Glasner has been known for a high-pressing approach during his time as Frankfurt boss.
Barcelona boss Xavi marvelled at Glasner’s high-pressing style last season as Frankfurt won at the Camp Nou.
Tottenham fans will be encouraged by that, and Glasner has also heavily favourited a 3-4-2-1 system in Germany.
That would at least give Tottenham some continuity and alleviate some fears over wing backs Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.
Glasner has though dabbled with a 4-2-3-1 in years gone by at Wolfsburg, which may remind fans more of the Mauricio Pochettino era.
That flexibility as well as the high-pressing approach may appeal to Tottenham and Glasner’s contract rejection only strengthens the notion that he will be moving on soon.
