Eintracht Frankfurt will now find it difficult to keep hold of manager Oliver Glasner amid claims Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach.
That’s according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who reports that Frankfurt are really trying to extend Glasner’s contract.
Frankfurt want to secure Glasner until 2025 or 2026, with his current deal coming to an end in 2024.
Sky Germany report that Glasner has actually rejected the first contract offer on the table from Frankfurt.
Sporting director Markus Krosche is still pushing for a deal but Plettenberg claims ‘it will be difficult’ to keep Glasner now.
This comes amid claims that Tottenham are making their move to land Glasner as their new manager.
German newspaper Bild claim that Tottenham have made contact with Glasner’s representatives to engineer a summer move.
Chelsea are also interested but with Antonio Conte seemingly set to go, Glasner is a prime contender.

Oliver Glasner may feel he has done all he can at Eintracht Frankfurt
Glasner, 48, impressed in charge of LASK and VfL Wolfsburg before heading to Frankfurt in 2021.
The Austrian guided Frankfurt to the Europa League crown last season, beating Barcelona on their way to the final.
Glasner therefore managed in the Champions League this season, ironically taking on Conte and Tottenham in the group stage.
Yet having been dumped out in the last 16 by Napoli, there may be a sense that Frankfurt have hit their ceiling.
Frankfurt are still going well in the Bundesliga but it’s difficult to seem them being able to go much further now.
It may be time for Glasner to take the next step and head to the Premier League.
Tottenham can offer that step up and with Frankfurt seemingly in a spot of bother when it comes to keeping Glasner, Spurs may be well-positioned.
