Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly trying to beat Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea to the signing of Dusan Vlahovic.

Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Tottenham expect Chelsea to make a bid for the Serbia international striker.

With England international striker Harry Kane pushing for a move to Bayern Munich this summer, Spurs are “ready to speed things up” to get Vlahovic from Juventus and beat London and Premier League rivals Chelsea to the signature of the former Fiorentina star.

Galetti has added that Juventus could sell the 23-year-old striker – who is “lightning” and whose “left foot is like a wand”, according to former Manchester City and Fiorentina defender Micah Richards on BBC Radio 5 Live in December 2021.– for €80 million (£68.57 million).

Tottenham Hotspur’s stance on Chelsea target Dusan Vlahovic is sensible

We believe that Tottenham Hotspur are being very sensible regarding Chelsea target and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

There is no point in waiting for Kane to leave before trying to do a deal for a potential replacement.

It would make sense for Spurs to open talks with Juventus while they are negotiating with Bayern over Kane.

Vlahovic is one of the best young strikers in the world, and we believe that he would be a suitable replacement for Kane.

Let us not forget that the striker is only 23.

We think that Vlahovic will improve and get better in the coming years.

Vlahovic scored 10 goals and gave two assists in 22 Serie A starts for Juventus last season.

During the 2021-22 season, the Serbia international striker scored 17 goals and gave two assists in 21 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina, and scored seven goals and provided one assist in 12 Serie A starts for Juve.
