Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Ollie Watkins, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s recent comments on the Aston Villa striker will encourage the fans.
The Sun has reported interest from Tottenham in Villa striker Watkins.
The North London club, who wanted to sign the England international last summer before he moved to Villa from Brentford, is reportedly looking at the 25-year-old striker as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
Kane has reportedly told Tottenham that he wants to leave.
Now, Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet, and it is going to be extremely tough for Spurs to replace him.
However, Watkins has done enough this season to suggest that he can make the step-up from Villa to Spurs.
The former Brentford star has consistently scored goals and has been picked ahead of Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford in the provisional England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
The 25-year-old scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 37 league games for Villa this season.

Liverpool manager Klopp is a big fan of Watkins and raved about him this season.
Klopp told Sky Sports: in April 2021: “[Watkins] is a really talented striker. It was a really good signing. He’s strong, he can jump high, he’s very fast, he’s a good package.”
Liverpool boss Klopp is one of the best managers in the world and knows a quality player when he sees one.
Watkins may have had just one season in the Premier League, but he does have the potential to fill the shows of Kane, if the Spurs striker leaves.
