Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell Steven Bergwijn amid interest from Ajax, according to Fabrizio Romano on Chris Cowlin’sYouTube channel.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Ajax will try to sign Bergwijn from Tottenham again in the final days of the January transfer window.
Ajax have had an offer for the 24-year-old Netherlands international winger earlier in the January transfer window turned down.
Romano has added that Tottenham want €25m (around £20.79m) for Bergwijn.
That would represent a loss of £6 million for Tottenham on the Dutchman.
That’s because Tottenham paid Ajax £27 million to PSV for Bergwijn in January 2020 (BBC Sport).
The journalist said on Chris Cowlin’sYouTube channel, as transcribed by TheBootRoom: “I think many players have chances to leave the club. Not easy for Bergwijn because Ajax will try again, I’m sure.
“They’re still on point, they want Bergwijn, but they still have no agreement with Tottenham.
“Tottenham want €25m (around £21m) for Bergwijn, so let’s see what Ajax decide to do in the coming hours.”

Tottenham Hotspur should keep Steven Bergwijn
In our view, Tottenham should keep Bergwijn even if Ajax pay the £21 million that they are reportedly looking for.
The 24-year-old has been inconsistent during his time at Tottenham, but he has shown some promising signs under head coach Conte in recent games.
The Netherlands international winger came off the bench to score two late goals against Leicester City in the Premier League and played well against Chelsea in the London derby.
Conte has said that he believes that the 24-year-old can play as a striker.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, and Bergwijn could prove to be an important player for the team.
