Roy Keane has raved about Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder and reported Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Brennan Johnson on ITV (5:46pm, March 20, 2022).
The former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest midfielder has been impressed by Johnson, linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the summer transfer window, and believes that he is very gifted with the ball at his feet.
Football London’s Alasdair Gold has said on his YouTube channel that Tottenham have been scouting the 20-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Keane said, as transcribed by NottinghamshireLive: “He looks like a footballer, he looks a natural with the ball at his feet. He does not look like he is fighting with the ball and it would be great to see how does in the next couple of years and whether he can kick on.”
Could Brennan Johnson join Tottenham Hotspur?
In our opinion, Johnson would be a very good signing for Tottenham for the long term.
Keane is not an easy man to please, but the Sky Sports and ITV pundit seems hugely impressed by the 20-year-old.

Johnson has made 35 starts and one substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest so far this season.
The Wales international has scored 11 goals and given six assists in those games.
Now, of course, we know that the Premier League is at a far superior level to the Championship, but Johnson is only 20, and if he moves to Tottenham this summer, then he could grow and develop under head coach Antonio Conte.
