Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are planning to make a bid for Middlesbrough-owned Nottingham Forest youngster Djed Spence in the summer transfer window, according to Football.London.
Football.London have reported that Tottenham will make a move for Spence, who can play as a right-back or as a left-back, if his loan club Nottingham Forest fail to get promoted to the Premier League.
Forest will take on Huddersfield Town in the Championship playoff final next weekend.
Spence joined Forest from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2021.

In our opinion, a move to Tottenham Hotspur could be very tempting for Djed Spence, even if Nottingham Forest get promoted to the Premier League.
Now, Forest will have to pay Middlesbrough a transfer fee to sign the youngster, described as “outstanding” and “absolutely fantastic” by former Chelsea player Andy Townsend on talkSPORT (5:43pm, March 21, 2022).
Tottenham could just better that offer.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte reportedly wants to use Spence as a right wing-back, and the chance to work with a world-class manager could be very temping for him.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and given four assists in 41 Championship appearances for Forest this season.
