Tottenham Hotspur loaned striker Kion Etete to Northampton Town for first-team experience, and he finally bagged a first goal last night.
Etete joined Tottenham from Notts County back in 2019 having shown real potential down at Meadow Lane.
A huge figure at 6ft 6in tall, Etete has been a regular in Tottenham’s development ranks in recent years.
Transfermarkt have his record set at nine goals and three assists in 26 Under-23 games, as well as 10 goals and two assists in 15 Under-18 games.
Etete is nowhere near the Tottenham team though, and has been sent to Northampton to hone his craft.
Northampton fans praise Tottenham talent Etete
On Tuesday, Etete started in the Northampton attack against Stevenage.
Etete scored his first League Two goal to open the scoring, latching onto Mitch Pinnock’s flick before firing home.

Etete has played well without goals for Northampton, but fans now hope to see him go on a run of finding the net.
Northampton fans suggested that Etete is a ‘star in the making’ backing him to push on and score more goals now.
Others believe Etete just causes so many problems, branding him ‘brilliant’ and ‘class’ after getting off the mark for the Cobblers.
