Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg attacker Noah Okafor at the end of the season.

That’s according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who claims that Spurs are really keen on snapping up Okafor.

It’s stated that the ‘poker’ for Okafor’s signature has already started with Tottenham, AC Milan and Inter Milan all interested.

Plettenberg notes that Okafor ‘wants to make the next step’ this summer and there are no talks about a new deal with Salzburg.

Okafor’s current deal expires in 2024, leaving Salzburg in a difficult position where they either need to cash in or likely see him leave for nothing.

Okafor also recently switched agency to Sports 360, which is seen as being a precursor to a move away.

Salzburg seemingly want up to €25million (£22million) with Okafor surely heading elsewhere this summer.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Noah Okafor?

Okafor came up through the FC Basel ranks from the age of just nine and ended up becoming a first-team player.

Okafor bagged seven goals in 52 first-team games for Basel and Salzburg saw enough potential in him to make a move in 2020.

The 22-year-old has now racked up 34 goals and 23 assists in 108 appearances for Salzburg.

Whilst Okafor can play out wide, he has been used almost solely as a striker this season, notching 10 goals.

Chelsea got to see Okafor’s quality up close and personal in the Champions League this season, and he scored in 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Former Swiss Under-21 boss Mauro Lustrinelli praised Okafor whilst speaking to Le Matin last year, drawing attention to his ‘magnificent’ speed as well as his ‘technical qualities’ and his power.

Okafor appears to be an exciting talent and whilst Tottenham may face a summer of upheaval, the Swiss talent could be a real find for Fabio Paratici and co.
