Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell reported Newcastle United January transfer target Joe Rodon for $27 million (£19.99 million), according to CBS Sports.

The report has claimed that Tottenham have made defender Rodon ‘available’ for a transfer this month.

Spurs value the 24-year-old Wales international central defender at $27 million (£19.99 million).

CBS Sports have reported that Newcastle want to sign Joe Rodon, but they do not want to pay what Tottenham want and are looking for a loan deal.

Brighton and Hove Albion are also reportedly interested in Rodon and want a permanent transfer in January.

Tottenham stance on Joe Rodon is sensible

In our opinion, Tottenham are right to demand £20 million for Joe Rodon in the January transfer window.

Spurs paid Swansea City an initial £11 million for the defender in October 2020 (BBC Sport).

So, in our opinion, Tottenham are right to try to sell the Welshman for a £9 million.

Remember, Spurs have been paying Rodon’s reported £24,000-a-week salary as well.

The Tottenham no. 14 has played only 13 times in the Premier League so far in his career.

Tottenham are under no financial pressure to sell any of their players in the January transfer window, and a loan exit really does not do much for Antonio Conte’s side.
