Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:23pm, January 23, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli should move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

The Manchester United legend believes that Alli needs to leave Tottenham, and has said that Spurs should let the midfielder go.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that Newcastle would be a good club for the Tottenham midfielder.

The Daily Mail have reported that Newcastle are interested in signing Alli from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the January transfer window.

Spurs are reportedly expecting a bid from Newcastle for the 25-year-old England international midfielder.

Keane said about Alli on Sky Sports Premier League (7:23pm, January 23, 2022): “I think the kid has lost the eye of the tiger. I think sometimes you have to let a kid go.”

The Sky Sports pundit added: “Let the kid go. Go to Newcastle. There’s a career going up there. Fans would love him if he goes there.”

Should Dele Alli leave Tottenham for Newcastle?

In our view, if Alli is not going to play much at Tottenham, then he should make a move to Newcastle on loan in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old midfielder was left out of the Tottenham squad for the London derby against Chelsea on Sunday.

Alli has made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season.

Newcastle could do with a dynamic box-to-box midfielder like Alli, who himself could do with a change of environment.
