Tottenham Hotspur should battle for the towering Frenchman.

The Sun reported on Sunday that Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi could be available in January after a bust-up with coach Eduardo Berizzo.

Several other Premier League sides have been linked as a result, but should Tottenham Hotspur enter the race and try bring him to North London?

N’Zonzi has several reported suitors – including Arsenal and Everton – but there isn’t a lot of players on the continent who would turn down Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham at the moment.

Okay Spurs are enduring a bit of a rough spell in the Premier League, but topping a Champions League group ahead of Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund should be a reminder that an off-colour spell doesn’t detract from the fact that the Lilywhites have a very bright future under the Argentine.

Sky Sports reported that Tottenham are interested in Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia but N’Zonzi, worth around £27 million according to Transfermarkt, should certainly be considered.

He would not eligible to play in the latter stages in the Champions League this season, but the 6’4 powerhouse would be a welcome addition to the domestic fold as Pochettino’s side look to finish in the top four again.
