Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have to pay £30 million to sign Hakim Ziyech from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the final days of the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Ajax are in talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Ziyech, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

The report has claimed that Chelsea are looking for almost £30 million for the Moroccan to sell him on a permanent deal.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, described as “one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe in recent years” by former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia on the Blues’ official website in February 2020.

Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reported last week that Spurs plan to hold talks with Chelsea over a deal for Ziyech.

Should Tottenham Hotspur pay £30m for Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech?

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should not pay £30 million to Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech.

We think that it is too much money to spend on an attacking player who has not really been a massive success in the Premier League.

Now, we know that the former Ajax star is talented and is very skilful, but he does not have enough productivity for Spurs to splash out £30 million.

Moreover, Ziyech is 29, so there is not much resale value.

The attacker has scored six goals and created 15 big chances in 47 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
