Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Manchester United’s Luke Shaw for a considerable amount of time now.

Luke Shaw can go down as another player who Tottenham Hotspur have admired for a long-term, but they look set to fail to sign, due to their hesitance over pulling the trigger in transfer deals.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs side have been linked with Shaw for numerous transfer windows, and The Sun claim that Tottenham still want the Manchester United defender.
However, United are now set to offer Shaw a new deal, after his resurgence so far this season.
Shaw looked out of contention at United for much of last season, but his form this term has made him Jose Mourinho’s side’s first choice left-back and earned him a call-up to the England squad.
Tottenham now have surely left it too late to make a move for the international defender, as their chances of landing him are becoming slimmer by the game.
Spurs now have a long list of potential targets who they have failed to pull the trigger on, and they have simply become unattainable.

The likes of Wilfried Zaha and Riyad Mahrez were both on Spurs’ radar for years, before they both simply became too expensive for Pochettino’s side to consider buying.
And Shaw must also fall into the category of a missed opportunity, as the United defender now looks to be off limits for Pochettino’s men.
