Tottenham Hotspur were linked with proven winner Ljubomir Fejsa last summer.

Tottenham Hotspur came up short once again at the weekend in the FA Cup semi-final as they were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United.
It was the latest in a series of near misses for the North London side, who have been unable to get over the hump and win trophies.
Perhaps then now is the time to reconsider a move for Benfica ace Ljubomir Fejsa, who they were linked with signing last summer.

Fejsa is a defensive midfielder who hails from Serbia and will feature at the upcoming World Cup.
Portuguese newspaper Record reported last summer that Spurs were eyeing a move for Fejsa.
He turns 30 in August and while that would not make him a long-term solution, his experience and mentality is precisely what Tottenham need right now.
Fejsa has won 10 league titles in a row, doing so in three countries, with Partizan Belgrade, Olympiakos and Benfica.

He is currently hoping to earn an 11th, with Benfica just two points behind Primeira Liga leaders Porto.
Spurs need a player who can galvanise their team, and show inexperienced talents like Dele Alli and Eric Dier the way, and help guide them through the big moments.
He is the missing ingredient Spurs are missing right now and with 32 games played already this season, he is showing no signs of slowing down.
