Tottenham Hotspur are one of many teams being linked with a move for Fulham talent Ryan Sessegnon.

The 16-year-old is reported to be wanted by several Premier League sides, with a fee of just £8 million being mentioned. Spurs got to see his talent first-hand at the weekend as he came on in the FA Cup tie between the sides and put in an impressive cameo.

Spurs, will not want to get stung again in their hunt for a Fulham talent.

In the summer Moussa Dembele left at the end of his Fulham contract at Craven Cottage to join Celtic. He has gone on to score a whopping 27 goals in 41 games for the club, including two hat-tricks in a row.

He was linked with Chelsea in January, for a fee in the region of £30 million, but Celtic value him at £40 million – according to the Telegraph.

Tottenham of course could have signed the French talent. It was reported by the Guardian at the time that Fulham pulled the plug on what would have been a £6 million deal, as they wanted to keep him on loan until the end of the season. Spurs were having none of it and the result was a bitter end to the transfer negotiations.

Spurs will not want to make such a costly mistake again.
