Tottenham should focus their attentions elsewhere.

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Layzin Kurzawa was reported this week by French outlet RMC Sport.

Kurzawa is reported to be keen to leave Paris Saint-Germain for a new challenge.

Spurs have signed Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura from PSG this season, but Kurzawa is a player they should consider passing on.

And it’s not because he is not up to it, but because the left-back market is throwing out a few interesting names this summer who Spurs would be better off focusing on.

Namely Ryan Sessegnon, who is absolutely perfect for Tottenham’s system and is arguably the best young player in the country.

25-year-old Kurzawa is better suited to Manchester United, who are in the market for a new left-back.

The defender is proven, experienced in the Champions League, and able to handle the pressure which Luke Shaw cannot.

If United were to move for Kurzawa, it would rule them out of the race for Sessegnon, and help push Shaw out of the exit door.

Either Shaw or Sessegnon would be smart additions for Spurs, while allowing Ben Davies enough rope to carry on as first choice while one of the duo learn behind him.

Kurzawa would expect to come in and be first choice right away, and as Serge Aurier has learned already, that is not so straightforward.
