Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is not set to play for England this evening.

Gareth Southgate could be doing Tottenham Hotspur a big favour by resting Harry Kane for England’s game tonight.
England are due to take on Switzerland this evening in a friendly, but Southgate has suggested that the Spurs man won’t play.
Southgate feels Kane needs a break from the action, and that could play out perfectly for Spurs.
“Is he due a rest? I think so. We talked a bit after the World Cup about the demands of the modern player,” Southgate said to the Telegraph.
“Everybody has got to play a part in that but the clubs own the player and they have got to do the right thing for them.”

It is fair to say that Kane is yet to show his best form for Tottenham so far this season, and he has looked lethargic on occasion.
A busy summer at the World Cup seems to have caught up with Kane, as he searches for match sharpness.
Tottenham can feel assured that Kane will be rested up in time for them to face Liverpool at the weekend though.
Spurs take on Jurgen Klopp’s side in what looks to be a huge match for both sides.
Tottenham and Liverpool are almost certain to be challenging for the top four places at the end of the season, and Pochettino must be delighted that Kane won’t be risk just before the huge clash.
