Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor saluted Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany before the 4-1 defeat at the Etihad.
The pair exchanged Adebayor’s famous gesture as they met before the start of the game.
Adebayor wasn’t able to turnaround the poor form he’s shown up front for Spurs so far this season.
The Mirror has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to tie Christian Eriksen down to a new long term deal.
The Dane has been in decent form this season and is rated as one of the most creative midfielders at the club.
Talks could take place before the end of the year.
Spurs midfielder Nacer Chadli was left frustrated that the side didn’t make more of their opportunities against City.
Tottenham created several openings but were wasteful with their finishing which frustrated the Belgian.
“There were some moments that could have changed the game and going forward we created chances, but we had to get more control of the game. We looked very dangerous when we were attacking but it’s not enough,” the Belgian told the Tottenham website
